To get from Vienna to Bratislava you don’t have to travel by car or train, or even by bus.

It is especially uncomfortable to travel in the hot summer.

Why not combine business with pleasure? Travel along the Danube, see the banks and mountains and be on the water.

We knew that there were hydrofoil boats running between Vienna and Bratislava. They were called TwinCityLiner.

Information about them was on brochures on the embankment of Vienna.

Visited the site www.twincityliner.com found out the schedule and boldly set off!

The river station for this route was located near the Vienna metro station. – Schwedenplatz so you won’t have to work hard to get here.

Please have your passports ready as they will be checked before you purchase a ticket.

I really don’t understand why, if on other roads leading to Vienna we weren’t asked about them. Maybe for accurate registration of passengers.

The boat itself goes to Bratislava in about 1 hour 15 minutes and departs regularly at the following times: 8:30, 9:00, 12:30, 16:30, 18:00

The ticket price is about 30 euros. The price depends on whether you choose seats with a fixed location or not.

In the middle of the boat’s saloon is a large panoramic glass in the front part, and glass doors on the sides. The chairs are similar to those installed in cinemas. Comfortable and convenient.

The boat leaves Vienna, goes along the canal and enters the Danube. It goes along the river quite quickly. Subjectively, its speed was about 40-50 km. per hour.

Along the way you will see beautiful views of the banks of the Danube.

Some passengers simply can’t stand it and run to look at this beauty.

As the boat moves, mountains and castles appear.

There is a toilet on the boat, so if you are traveling with small children, this is not a problem.

Constantly looking at the shores, we didn’t even notice how we reached Bratislava.

The boat moored near ships with interesting names. I didn’t even expect to meet them in Bratislava: Ruse Precizh, Dnipro 🙂

Having walked a little away from the embankment, we reached the Bratislava Bus Station.

By the way, there is also something to see in Bratislava. Therefore, I would recommend you to stay a little longer in the capital of Slovakia. And I will tell you more about Bratislava in my next articles.
